Getting in touch

Email: [email protected]

That address is read by the person who wrote the app. There is no ticket system and no bot. If you write about a wrong day count, it helps enormously to include the country, the dates you think are right, and — if you are willing — an export from Settings › Export (also + › Export). That page offers CSV, a PDF summary and JSON. The export contains your own travel data, so send it only if you are comfortable doing so; the answer will be slower without it but it will still come.

You can also write from inside the app. Settings › About › Support sends us a question or a problem report, and Settings › About › Request a counter tells us about a country or counter the app does not have yet. Adding your email address to either is optional; without it we cannot reply. What these forms send is described on the privacy page.

Why does it ask for "Always" location access?

Because the whole point is that it works when you are not looking at your phone. A border crossing happens while the app is closed, usually while you are asleep or in a queue. With "While Using the App" the crossing is simply missed, and you find out days later that the count is wrong.

You can refuse. The app then works by hand: you add stays yourself, and everything that does not need location keeps working. Refusing location access locks nothing extra; everything you can do by hand keeps working.

Will it drain my battery?

No, and the reason is architectural rather than a promise. The app does not run continuous GPS. It subscribes to the operating system's significant location change and visit monitoring services, which are the low-power ones — iOS wakes the app briefly when you have actually moved a meaningful distance, and the app does nothing at all in between. It is designed to use very little battery.

My trial ended. Where did my data go?

Nowhere. It is still there, still visible, still exportable.

Your history, including adding, editing and deleting stays, manual entry and export stay open when a trial ends or a subscription lapses. Importing your own CSV, Settings, Restore, Redeem code, Terms and Privacy also remain open.

Without Premium, the app opens as a locked showcase. All counters show blurred values; tapping a counter opens the plans screen. Counters, automatic tracking, widgets, reminders, AI stay entry, a second passport, the trip planner and adding trips found in your photos require Premium.

If you ever see your own data behind a paywall, that is a bug. Report it and it will be treated as one.

Why does a number sometimes say "approximately"?

Because the app tells you how sure it is instead of pretending to be certain.

Two things can make a number approximate. The stay can be approximate — a crossing detected from a coordinate near a border, or a day you edited without an exact time. Or the rule can be approximate — a visa rule that has not been curated for your exact passport-and-country pair, so a general one was used.

When either is true, the app says so on the card, and the worse of the two wins: an exact rule cannot lend its confidence to a number built on a guessed stay.

How do I turn iCloud syncing off?

Settings › iCloud backup, and switch off Sync with iCloud. The change takes effect after the next app launch. New changes then stay on this device; data previously synced to iCloud is not deleted. Turning sync back on can bring that earlier data back to this device.

There is no app account to delete. Settings › Delete all my data › Delete everything on this device removes local data. With sync off or unavailable, it cannot remove the old iCloud copy. To remove that copy, turn sync on, reopen the app while online, wait for records to appear, delete again, and check your other devices. CloudKit deletion is asynchronous and cannot be confirmed from this app. You can also remove this app's data in iCloud storage settings.

What syncing means for your privacy is on the privacy page.

How do I restore a purchase, cancel, or get a refund?

The offered plans are Yearly (a 14-day free trial for eligible new subscribers) and Lifetime (one payment, nothing renews). Existing Monthly subscriptions continue to renew and can be managed in Apple Account settings. The price for each offered plan is shown in the app, read from the App Store in your own currency.

  • Restore a purchase: Settings › Subscription › Restore purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you bought with. The purchase screen has the same button.
  • Cancel a subscription: in your Apple Account's subscription settings, at least 24 hours before the current period ends. While you have a subscription, **Settings › Subscription › Manage subscription** takes you there. A lifetime purchase has nothing to cancel.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple, not by this developer: https://support.apple.com/billing

The full renewal terms are on the terms page.

Something is wrong with my day count

Before writing in, two things are worth checking, because they explain most reports:

  1. The rule the app used. Open the country and look at the rule section — it names the source and the date. If the source is wrong for your passport, you can enter your own rule and it will be used instead of the guessed one.
  2. Your stays. A missed crossing shows up as a stay that is too long or a gap where a trip should be. Corrections you make by hand are never overwritten by later automatic detection.

If both look right and the number still does not, that is a real bug and worth an email.
